Opening Reception – Saturday, March 31, 5 to 7 pm

We are excited to announce the opening of a new exhibition at the Wedeman Gallery – Back in Time: A Photographic Journey, that will be on display from March 27 through April 11.
This exhibition will feature high-quality extra large format photographic prints showing the daily life of Boston and its people over a century ago, presented by Daniel Campbell and GPC Limited Productions. The Campbell family collected and preserved the history of thousands of large format dry plate glass negatives ranging in sizes from 4”x 4” to 20” x 20” of some of the rarest and most interesting parts of New England and United States.
The idea behind this exhibition is to create an immersion experience in the late 19th and early 20th century New England through large-scale photography, as well as period music and fashion items. The curator of Lasell College’s Fashion Collection, Jill Carey, has generously contributed garments and accessories from the period to augment a tangible trip back in time.
