Newton Art Association’s JAMES KING BONNAR SHOW

The James King Bonnar Show is named after the founder of the Newton Art Association and is a historically important exhibit for the association with family endowed prizes worth $600. This year’s exhibit, in collaboration with the Wedeman Gallery at Lasell College, will showcase more than 70 works of art.


The Newton Art Association is an organization of over 200 active artists and art enthusiasts representing all branches of the visual arts, from drawing to sculpture. The juror for the Bonnar will be Vladimir Zimakov, Director, Wedeman Gallery, and Associate Professor of Art and Graphic Design, Lasell University.

*The Artists’ Reception will be held in person at the Gallery. All visitors to campus must show documentation of covid vaccine or a negative test within 72 hrs of the event. The visitors must also be masked at all times during the duration of an indoor event.

Light refreshments will be provided at the Reception.
